Areas of Study
As an undergraduate student in the College of Engineering and Computing, you get to choose your major. We offer bachelor's degrees with the following eight majors:
- Biomedical Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Computer Engineering
- Computer Information Systems
- Computer Science
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
The accelerated master's program allows students to work on undergraduate and graduate degrees simultaneously.
A student in the College of Engineering and Computing may choose a minor from a field consisting of at least 18 credit hours of prescribed courses. The minor is intended to develop a coherent program in a second area of study.

In addition, students can choose from over 80 minors from across the university. In order to know what courses are required in a desired minor, please refer to the Majors and Minors page of the Undergraduate Bulletin. To declare a minor, submit a completed copy of the “Minor Declaration” form found on the Forms page of this website to Student Services, Suite 1A00, Swearingen Center.
